Steve Jobs said it best. Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The trouble makers. The square pegs in the round holes.
When I first embarked on my journey to be an entrepreneur, most of my good friends were focused on stability – marriage, family, buying a house, etc.
Sometimes, being an entrepreneur can be the opposite of that and can result in a lot of strange looks.
Executing on your passions that may make people uncomfortable for one reason or another also yields the same reaction.
But there are also a lot of people out there who are supportive and can be mentors to you. Stay close to them or seek these people out.
Whatever your endeavor, love or passion is, if it feels right, then you have to rise above the fog. It took me a while, but today, I smile every time someone looks at me crooked.
These reactions will turn into admiration if you stick with it through thick or thin and come out victorious on some level. But remember, if you have a family or people relying on you financially, be a Practical Innovator.
What do you think?
